President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating fell to “poor” from “neutral” in the third-quarter survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Marcos’ net satisfaction rating dropped to -11 in September 2026 from -7 in June, according to the survey.

The SWS said 35% of adult Filipinos were satisfied with the President’s performance, while 46% were dissatisfied and 20% were undecided.

The satisfaction figure declined from 38% in June, while dissatisfaction edged up from 45%. The percentage of undecided respondents rose to 20%.

The resulting net satisfaction rating of -11 was classified as “poor,” down four points from -7, which was rated “neutral” in June.

Marcos’ net satisfaction rating declined in Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Metro Manila, but improved in Mindanao.

The President recorded a net satisfaction rating of zero, classified as “neutral,” in Balance Luzon. His ratings were “poor” in the Visayas at -13, Mindanao at -21, and Metro Manila at -27.

Marcos’ net satisfaction rating also declined among respondents with non-elementary and college-level education.

Among respondents with non-elementary education, his rating dropped by 19 points, from +17, classified as “moderate,” in June to -2, classified as “neutral,” in September.

Among college graduates, his rating fell by 15 points, from -19, classified as “poor,” to -34, classified as “bad.”

The survey also measured public awareness of Marcos’ 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Awareness was highest in Metro Manila at 63%, followed by Balance Luzon at 53%, the Visayas at 39%, and Mindanao at 34%.

Fewer Filipinos also viewed the President’s description of the country’s situation in his SONA as believable.

According to the SWS, 26% of adult Filipinos found Marcos’ description of the country’s state believable, while 37% said it was unbelievable.

Social media was the leading source of information about the SONA across regions, age groups, and educational levels.

The SWS conducted face-to-face interviews with 1,500 adult Filipinos nationwide. The survey had a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.
